Our Constitution requires that any unbudgeted expenses in excess of $5000 need to be approved by the congregation. Accordingly, there are three projects that must be addressed in 2026. First, our recent paint project exceeded what was budgeted and exceeded $5000. Second, our fire panel has been yellow tagged and needs to be upgraded. With that upgrade come many related items throughout our building that must be, simultaneously, addressed. Third, the culvert replacement project, for which we received a 30K grant, will exceed that amount by more than $5000.  Each of these three issues must be addressed this year.

We are fortunate to have had Dawnell Lamb as a member of our congregation. Dawnell loved Wooden Cross and generously included us in her will. The funds donated by Dawnell will more than cover these expenses but we still need congregation approval to spend the money.

Council has scheduled a Special Congregation meeting for Sunday, June 28, after service. Please plan on attending service and remaining after for this meeting. Council would like to have as many members as possible attend so we can fully explain the issues and answer any questions you may have.
